A number of Liverpool supporters don’t want the Reds to sign Ibrahima Konate due to the defender’s injury history, after it was revealed that RB Leipzig will expect the full sum up front for a move to happen.
Jurgen Klopp is expected to make at least one centre-back addition at the end of the season, in order to freshen up that area of the pitch after a campaign riddled with issues there.
Ozan Kabak could possibly join permanently after impressing on loan, but it could be that another central defender also makes the move to Anfield.
Someone who has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool is Konate, having caught the eye for RB Leipzig in recent times.
Liverpool fans don’t want Konate
These Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to provide their thoughts on the matter, after Paul Joyce (via Anfield Watch) revealed RB Leipzig will expect the full sum up front.
“Just leave this guy alone, smells like another injury prone Naby Keita level“
“The guy’s as injury prone as Matip! It’s a no from me“
“He’s injury prone, Liverpool should go for someone else”
“I‘m a little bit concerned that we could be paying £34 million for a player who can’t even make the RB Leipzig team. I know he has injury problems but surely if he is as good as people are making out he would return immediately to the first team“
“We have wasted £90m on Ox and Keita. But this is where we will draw the line. Same was the case for Werner“
“Don’t want Konate at all, I hate injury prone players”
