Liverpool have announced the signing of 16-year-old Polish goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek.
The Premier League champions are hoping to bolster their title-wining squad ahead of next season and have started their summer business with the acquisition of goalkeeper Mrozek (via Liverpool ECHO). The teenager joins the Reds from FC Wroclaw Academy and will link up with Liverpool this summer.
Would you like to see Liverpool sign Thiago?
The Poland youth international agrees terms on a scholarship deal and will be eligible to sign a professional contract once he turns 17. Mrozek joins fellow young shot-stopper Caoimhin Kelleher in Liverpool’s ranks as they look to build on their recent success.
A lot of Reds fans are thrilled with the new signing, despite it not being a big money transfer many were perhaps expecting. One Kopite has replied to the news saying it’s ‘class business’ that Liverpool have added another goalkeeper to the squad. Many supporters aren’t happy with Adrian as a backup and Andy Lonergan is set to leave the club at the end of this season.

What’s wrong with signing a 16 year old? Just cos no one has heard of hin doesn’t mean he won’t show talent in the academy?
