Liverpool have made first contact with Bayern Munich over their interest in signing Thiago Alcantara this summer.
It’s been a whirlwind of a transfer story so far as new twists and turns continue to be churned out. The latest on the case states that the two clubs in question have made their first point of contact.

According to SportBild (via @LFCTransferRoom), Liverpool have made official contact with the Bayern Munich board.
Thiago is unarguably the Merseyside outfit’s biggest transfer target this window, with talks stemming across weeks and weeks of frustration amongst fans. They are now back to being excited as they feel like the deal is finally on its way to being finalised.
The Spaniard will reportedly cost the Reds £27million, but rivals Manchester City are also said to be eyeing up a swoop.
Supporters are flocking to the news to express their excitement over the wheels ‘finally’ being in motion. Another has tweeted ‘come on Edwards work your magic’ as they urge the deal over the line.
