Liverpool: Fans gush at update on reported target Eder Militao
Many Liverpool fans reacted in delight after news emerged regarding Real Madrid defender Eder Militao.
The Reds were previously linked with a January move for the 22-year-old just before Christmas, but given he’s in contract until 2025 a permanent deal would have been pricey.
However, according to transfer expert Duncan Castles, via his Transfer Window Podcast, the Reds’ interest in the Brazilian could have just received a big boost, as Militao will be allowed to leave the Santiago Bernabeu on loan this month.
The young central defender has been a bit-part player in Zinedine Zidane’s side during the 2020/21 campaign, starting just one game and making an appearance as a substitute in another (Whoscored), so one would think a loan move is a win-win for all parties.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is a big fan of his, having recently described him as “a player with great potential.”
