Liverpool: Fans howl at Tim Sherwood over Wesley Fofana claim

Many Liverpool fans reacted to a suggestion that pundit Tim Sherwood made regarding the Reds’ centre-back woes.
Manager Jurgen Klopp has no established centre-halves to choose from on the back of injuries to Fabinho and Joel Matip picked up either before, or during, the 3-1 win against Tottenham on Thursday.
On the back of this, the former Spurs and Aston Villa boss told Sky Sports (cited by Metro) that Liverpool should go out and “test the arm of Leicester” by offering in excess of £100m for young defender Wesley Fofana.
The 20-year-old has not been linked with a move to Anfield but Sherwood is not the first person to make this suggestion.
Former Premier League star Robbie Earle believes that the young Frenchman is someone that Klopp should be looking at, after averaging 3.4 aerial duels won and 4.5 clearances made in 15 Premier League appearances (Whoscored).
Should Liverpool sign Wesley Fofana?
Yes

No

Despite this, supporters mocked Sherwood’s bizarre proposal with some saying that he should do his homework on the club before making such comments. The comments were made via @AnfieldWatch on Twitter.
Fans howl at Sherwood suggestion
“Is this dude a clown? He wants us to pay a £63 Million premium on a dude just 3 months after he was acquired? We have given up 16 goals in 23 Matches since VVD got hurt, the defence hasn’t been the main culprit of our recent slowdown, and this would be a massive overreaction!”
“Summed up his manager career right there. FAILED”
“So we should break the world record to sign a kid who has had a few good games? Seriously which world do these players live in?”
“How about Tim Sherwood improves his coaching instead of telling who Liverpool should buy”
“In my list of bad pundits, Sherwood is defo at the top! Clueless!!”
“Wouldn’t take any notice to Tim Sherwood a failed joke of a manager”
“Tim always spitting rubbish!”
In other news, Liverpool fans were stunned to discover latest January centre-bank links.
