Liverpool: Fans react as Jurgen Klopp wants to keep Xherdan Shaqiri
Many Liverpool fans have been reacting to a transfer update from the Liverpool Echo as they have reported that Jurgen Klopp would prefer to keep Xherdan Shaqiri at the Merseyside club.
The Switzerland international has suffered from various injury problems since he joined the Anfield faithful from Stoke City, and thus has not featured much for them.

Being 29 years of age now as well, it may be time for the Reds to cash in on him, given also that they have Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane as options in his position.
However, Shaqiri can also still offer moments of brilliance when he is called upon, as he has scored eight goals and made a further six assists in 46 games in all competitions over three consecutive terms (Transfermarkt). It is then perhaps no surprise that Klopp wants to keep the winger, having previously hailed his ‘massive impact‘ and revealing his relief that he stayed this past summer.
