Gini Wijnaldum could be set to depart from Liverpool ahead of the new season as talks with Thiago Alcantara continue to swirl.
According to a new report from Mundo Deportivo (relayed via Sport Witness and @LFCTransferRoom), the Merseyside outfit are willing to cash in on the Dutch midfielder in order to see a move for Thiago happen.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with the Bayern Munich playmaker, who seriously impressed with his performances in their successful Champions League run this season. No formal offer has been made for his services but Thiago will reportedly command a £26.6m transfer fee.
This fresh update on Wijnaldum could suggest that Liverpool will want to balance the books by offloading him to interested party Barcelona. Ronald Koeman is keen to be reunited with the 29-year-old after previously coaching him during his time with the Netherlands national team.
It seems that plenty of Liverpool fans are on board with this exchange and want to see the £36m-valued ace off the Anfield books. One supporter has replied to the news saying ‘please I beg’ whilst another is desperate for the club to ‘get him gone’.
