Liverpool: Fans respond as Paul Joyce delivers Jamal Lewis update

Liverpool have registered their interest in Norwich City’s Jamal Lewis as eventual competition for Andy Robertson.
In an original report from Melissa Reddy, the Reds were revealed to be eyeing up a move for the 22-year-old to bolster their defensive options. Now, Paul Joyce has expanded on the news and says a move will depend on whether Lewis is happy to play second fiddle during his time at Anfield (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom).
Would you like to see Liverpool sign Jamal Lewis?
Yes please

No thanks

The left-back will reportedly be initially viewed as a squad player and back-up to first choice Robertson, who has established himself as one of the most talked about full-backs in football. The Premier League champions are in need of depth in their squad and Lewis could be a great signing to alleviate pressure from their Scotsman.
Norwich could be looking to cash in, in order to recruit new options to help get them back into the top flight after facing relegation this season. Lewis’ current Transfermarkt value is £9.9million, with Reddy reporting that the Reds are happy to pay £10m for his services.
Loads of Liverpool fans are eager to sign the Northern Ireland international and have commented on Joyce’s update urging the move over the line. One supporter feels that the fact he a hot topic amongst the LFC reporters could be a good sign and they hope ‘this is wrapped up’.

Even Joyce is tweeting about it now. Hopefully this is wrapped up and we can move onto other targets quickly.

I’m sure that, at 22, he’d happily play a squad role for the Champions of England instead of playing in the Championship.

He can easily be starter in like atleast 20% of the games. Lets say there’s a big UCL game on Tuesday and we’re playing Fulham on Saturday. Then we could rest Robbo against Fulham and still be somewhat suited at LB
