Some Liverpool fans have been providing their thoughts on former target Kalidou Koulibaly, following an update on his price tag.

The 29-year-old has arguably been one of the standout centre-backs in Europe in recent years, proving to be a formidable performer for Napoli.

The Senegalese star has been linked (Sport Witness) with a big-money move to Liverpool this season, but he has stayed put with the Serie A giants.

It is now claimed that Koulibaly could be available for a cut-price fee this summer, with Il Roma [vi Tutto Napoli] saying he could be available for £43million at the end of the season.

The defender's current Napoli deal doesn't expire until the summer of 2023, but it appears as though his age could be playing a part in him now being cheaper.

Koulibaly turns 30 this summer, like Virgil van Dijk, so it may be hard to envisage Jurgen Klopp seeing him as a long-term addition to his squad.
