Fans of Liverpool have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which has linked 17-goal striker Youssef En-Nesyri as a possible addition to their team in the summer transfer window.
The post tweeted by @AnfieldWatch, relayed a report that suggests that The Reds are keeping tabs on Sevilla’s frontman ahead of a potential swoop for the highly-rated 23-year-old.
The report claims that both Liverpool and Manchester United are keen on his signature as well as West Ham United, but Sevilla are hopeful that they can get him to sign a new deal.
En-Nesyri signed for the La Liga club for £18m last January, and has been a revelation ever since. The Moroccan international has scored 17 goals in all competitions (Transfermarkt) already this season, including 13 in the La Liga.
Liverpool have struggled as of late, having won only two league games in their last 11. Their attacking talents haven’t been as clinical this season and they now sit 5th in the Premier League table, 19 points off league leaders Manchester City.
After @AnfieldWatch tweeted the post, fans were quick to express their jubilation with the club’s latest transfer rumour.
What did these Liverpool fans say in reaction to the post?
“As someone who watches La Liga, I like this guy. Klopp could definitely improve his game and at the right price, I’d take him”
“Make it happen!”
“Would be a great deal for the right price for everyone involved”
“That’s more like it”
“This would be a good signing as well”
“He’s a baller mate, as a Moroccan I watch him closely for Sevilla. Liverpool could be a bigger threat if they sign him. All African attack; Mane, El-Nesyri, Salah”
“He can score goals, get him in”
It would appear that a few other top clubs are interested in the plater, so Liverpool will have to act quickly if they want to acquire his services. These fans are clearly happy with his goal-scoring abilities and performances for Sevilla, and The Reds certainly need a boost up front, so we’ll see if this is a deal that happens in the summer.
