With most teams impacted by the financial strains of pandemic, James Pearce has looked at Liverpool’s options without buying this summer.
The Reds are yet to make a signing ahead of next season whilst rival sides like Chelsea are recruiting well. Talks of a move for Timo Werner looked sure to come to fruition, but a last minute curveball saw him join Frank Lampard’s side instead.
Should Naby Keita be a regular starter next season?
However, fans are arguing that squad depth is an important focal point going into the next term if the Reds want to keep their Premier League crown. Budgets are tight but supporters have turned on Fenway Sports Group recently for their lack of activity in the transfer window over the last two seasons.
One fan has replied to Pearce’s post saying it would be ‘a disgrace’ for Liverpool not to recruit whilst rival clubs are already strengthening. Another supporter has addressed the rest of the fanbase saying ‘you lot are actually sick if you think adding depth and quality is wrong’.

If LFC stand still after winning the league while Chelsea and City add players like Traore, Havertz, Werner etc it would be a disgrace. There’s always room for quality, i’m not having Minamino.
