Liverpool: Fans troll Arsenal over reported interest in Thiago Alcantara

Arsenal have reportedly entered the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder and Liverpool transfer target Thiago Alcantara this summer.
According to the Daily Mail (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom), the Gunners have enquired about the Spaniard’s services as they look to bolster their midfield options ahead of the 2020/21 season. However, Bayern’s reported £23m asking price is viewed as too high for Mikel Arteta’s side, who are hoping to see this amount lowered.
Will Thiago be a Liverpool player next season?
Yes

No

Liverpool are in pole position to sign Thiago after he agreed personal terms with the Merseyside outfit. However, the Reds are also hesitant about paying the transfer fee set for the 29-year-old.
The playmaker’s success in the Champions League has made him a talking point among English clubs, it seems, but many Liverpool fans aren’t concerned over Arsenal’s interest in their top summer target.
One Kopite has labelled the Gunners as a ‘banter club’ following their difficult season in the Premier League last time out, when they finished eighth. Another has told them to ‘know your place’ as they clearly feel that a Champions League winner would not want to compete in the Europa League next term.

He’s won the league every season for something like 9 years in a row. I can’t see him answering the phone to a mid table club, never mind going there

So Thiago also has interest from Liverpool, Man City and PSG. But he would downgrade to Arsenal…. Know your place Arsenal 😂😂😂

He would rather just stay at Bayern then go to Arsenal.

Why would he downgrade from winning the UCL to playing Europa League football?
