Liverpool youngster Ki-Jana Hoever could be heading out on loan this season, with Celtic interested in his services.
The teen prospect has attracted some attention from the Premiership as the champions are looking to secure him on a short-term deal. That’s according to Read Celtic (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom), who also claim the Merseyside outfit aren’t sure whether they want to loan Hoever out.
Who is the better deputy to Trent Alexander-Arnold?
The Dutch youth international is amongst those lined up for first team action. The likes of Curtis Jones and Neco Williams have already been promoted, but Hoever has still only dipped his toe into the senior squad. However, despite his cameo appearances, the 18-year-old has already impressed.
In just four appearances, Hoever has contributed to two clean sheets and a goal (via Transfermarkt). He can also play across the majority of positions in the back four, comfortable operating in both the centre-back and right-back role.
Liverpool fans don’t want to see the young defender leave on loan and would rather watch him work his way into the team this season. Some are even offering up an alternative, with one supporter claiming Hoever is ‘better than Williams’ as a back up to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
