Major Liverpool summer target Thiago Alcantara has been linked to a move to rivals Manchester United.

The Bayern Munich midfielder, who has been on the Reds' radar for several weeks now, is reportedly close to signing for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. That's according to Sport (relayed via @LFCTransferRoom), who also initially announced Jurgen Klopp's interest in Thiago.

Liverpool are yet to make a summer signing, unlike Premier League rivals Chelsea who have strengthened by signing Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner already.

Thiago's destination may not be confirmed yet but his intentions are clear. According to SportBild (via Metro), the Spain international has put his house up for sale and is seemingly preparing for a potential departure from Germany.

Plenty of Liverpool fans are eager to see the £32million-valued ace join the Merseyside outfit and they're now worried he could be heading elsewhere instead. One supporter has tweeted they 'hope this is wrong' whilst another is lashing out at Fenway Sports Group saying 'I seriously despise our owners,' - perhaps upset that no formal bid has yet gone in for the midfielder.
