Kevin Campbell has tipped Mo Salah to leave Liverpool and join Real Madrid amid their interest in The Reds ace.
As per a tweet from Sky Sports journalist Angelo Mangiante, the La Liga giants are strongly interested in signing Salah as he is reportedly their big target for the next summer transfer window.
Should Salah start for Liverpool?
Speaking to Football Insider, the former Everton and West Brom striker admitted that he could see Zinedine Zidane’s team as a possible destination for the Egypt international after being asked if he expects him to move to the Bernabeu:
“I could see him Salah fitting in perfectly at Real Madrid.
“Barcelona are in a transition period and while they may need to invest if Messi goes, I think Real Madrid are a lot more likely a destination than Barcelona right now.
“They have more of a complete squad and, of course, they are the current La Liga champions. You know what that club brings, it is a powerhouse.”
Salah is an ‘exceptional’ player
Salah has shown time and time again that he is an ‘exceptional’ player as Jurgen Klopp called him after he became the Anfield faithful’s record goal scorer in the UEFA Champions League last month after a draw at FC Midtjylland.
For a predominantly wide player, his record in terms of goals and assists for the Merseyside club is absolutely frightening, with 110 strikes and a further 45 assists in 175 games in total in all competitions over the last four terms combined (Transfermarkt).
However, the chance to play for Los Blancos is a hard one to turn down for any player to turn down during their footballing career, and the 28 year-old would be a big miss to LFC if he decides to make the move to the Spanish capital.
