# Liverpool loan watch: Harry Wilson scores two more, Loris Karius victorious on the double, Sheyi Ojo supplies two assists in 23 minutes

**In our Loan Watch feature series, the Football Transfer Tavern takes a look at how a selection of players from a particular club are faring whilst they are away from their parent side, and provide a brief update regarding their form.**

This week’s Liverpool loan watch covers three different nations, with mostly good fortunes for the players featured.

**Harry Wilson**

Harry Wilson’s Bournemouth may have lost 3-2 to Tottenham on Saturday but the Welsh winger did his stock the world of good by grabbing both goals for the Cherries.

They were three goals down when the 22-year-old curled a 25-yard free-kick into the Spurs net on 73 minutes, with his second coming deep into stoppage time as he finished Arnaut Groneveld’s cutback from close range. \[[via Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/tottenham-vs-bmouth/408119)\]

Wilson now has [six goals from 15 Premier League games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdaten/spieler/279455) this season, the [same that Xherdan Shaqiri has managed from 34 Liverpool appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/xherdan-shaqiri/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/86792) since coming to Anfield in summer 2018.

**Loris Karius**

Goalkeeper Loris Karius was in action twice for Besiktas in recent days, playing in the Europa League against Slovan Bratislava and a Turkish Super Lig fixture at home to Kayserispor.

The 26-year-old was finally on the winning side in Europe after [four straight defeats for Besiktas](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/loris-karius/leistungsdaten/spieler/85864), making [two saves](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1427175/Live/Europe-UEFA-Europa-League-2019-2020-Besiktas-Slovan-Bratislava) as they defeated their Slovakian opponents 2-1 to [end their chances of advancing from the group](https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2020/matches/round=2001150/match=2027881/?iv=true) and indirectly [help Wolves to reach the last 32](https://www.skysports.com/football/braga-vs-wolves/420554).

Karius’ side also tasted victory against Kayserispor on Monday, romping to a [4-1 home win](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3223128) in which the ‘keeper made [two saves](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1405180/Live/Turkey-Super-Lig-2019-2020-Besiktas-Kayserispor) as a resurgent Besiktas extended their winning run in the Super Lig to [five games](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/loris-karius/leistungsdaten/spieler/85864).

**Sheyi Ojo**

It was a mixed week for winger Sheyi Ojo at Rangers, having [started in the Europa League against Feyenoord](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3252522) before being [dropped to the bench for the Premiership game against Hearts](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3201329).

The 22-year-old endured a difficult evening in Europe last Thursday, being [dispossessed four times](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1427251/LiveStatistics/Europe-UEFA-Europa-League-2019-2020-Feyenoord-Rangers) and making just [18 passes](https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1427251/LiveStatistics/Europe-UEFA-Europa-League-2019-2020-Feyenoord-Rangers) in a performance that drew [scathing reviews from a lot of Rangers fans](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/scottish-premier/rangers/rangers-fans-tear-into-sheyi-ojo-over-his-performance-against-feyenoord/).

Ojo only had [23 minutes of game-time](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3201329) off the bench against Hearts on Sunday but made good use of it by [setting up two goals for Greg Stewart](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/3201329), the first of which came about from the loanee dispossessing Aaron Hickey on the byline and seeing his shot repelled before Stewart netted the rebound (as per [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/rangers-vs-hearts/411308)).

There were plenty of positives from the on-loan Liverpool trio, with Wilson distinguishing himself again by scoring two more goals in his [first season playing Premier League football](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/harry-wilson/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/279455) and Karius [holding down a place](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/loris-karius/leistungsdaten/spieler/85864) in a Besiktas team enjoying a splendid run of form.

It was also good to see Ojo providing two assists with limited game-time against Hearts and quickly putting his tough night against Feyenoord behind him.

Wilson is proving that he can thrive at the highest level of English football and he surely now deserves his chance to shine at Liverpool next season.
