# Liverpool: Many fans were calling for Roberto Firmino to be substituted long before 88th minute

**Roberto Firmino’s wait for a first goal at Anfield this season [will continue beyond Christmas](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-liverpool/spielplandatum/verein/31) after the Brazilian [drew another blank](https://www.skysports.com/football/liverpool-vs-watford/408146) today.**

[All four of his goals this season have come in away fixtures](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/roberto-firmino/leistungsdaten/spieler/131789) and the Liverpool forward endured a frustrating afternoon in his team’s 2-0 victory over Watford.

Although he managed two shots on target against the Hornets, Firmino was frequently guilty of being sloppy in possession with a moderate passing success rate of 73%, with just 25 of his 34 passes finding a team-mate, while only two of his five dribbles were successful. \[[via Sofascore](https://www.sofascore.com/liverpool-watford/zU)\]

Firmino was substituted in the closing stages of the Reds’ win over Watford, coming off in the 88th minute for Divock Origi (as per [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/liverpool-vs-watford/teams/408146)).

However, these Liverpool fans on Twitter were calling for the Brazilian to have been substituted much earlier:
