# Liverpool: Reds linked with Adama Traore

**Liverpool have reportedly contacted Wolves over a summer move for Adama Traore as Jurgen Klopp eyes up wide reinforcements at Anfield.**

### The Lowdown: Potential new wide player coming in

The Reds are expected to make a few new signings in the summer transfer window as they look to wrestle back the Premier League title from Manchester City.

A younger wide option to provide extra competition could be brought in, with PSV Eindhoven winger forward Donyell Malen a [rumoured](https://sportwitness.co.uk/negotiations-going-claim-liverpool-talks-agent-exciting-forward/) current target.

### The Latest: Liverpool linked with Traore move

According to [Football Insider](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-liverpool-make-surprise-approach-for-wolves-star-traore/), Traore is also considered an option, with Liverpool reportedly contacting Wolves about signing him.

The Spaniard still has [two years remaining](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/profil/spieler/204103) on his current deal, but Wolves are [reportedly](https://www.footballinsider247.com/sources-update-on-leeds-united-and-traore-after-wolves-slash-price-tag/) open to offers for him.

### The Verdict: Not worth the money

Traore can be a devastating attacker when he is full flight – Jurgen Klopp has [hailed](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/jurgen-klopp-adama-traore-liverpool-20186548) him as ‘undefendable’ after a strong performance against the Reds in March – but his end product also leaves a huge amount to be desired.

The 25-year-old scored and assisted [just twice apiece](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/140088/Show/Adama-Traor%C3%A9) in all of last season in the league, with his powerful runs often amounting to nothing.

For that reason, Liverpool should look elsewhere to reinforce their wide attacking options, especially as they will likely have to pay a huge amount for the [£27m-rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/profil/spieler/204103) Spain international.
