# Liverpool: Reds linked with move for Federico Chiesa

**Liverpool are reportedly interested in a summer move for Italy and Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, in what could be a hugely exciting signing.**

### The Lowdown: Chiesa shines at Euro 2020

The 23-year-old enjoyed a fantastic Euro 2020 campaign with the *Azzurri*, [scoring twice](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322971/Show/Federico-Chiesa) and sealing glory in the final against England on Sunday.

Chiesa’s direct style made him a nightmare to play against and it is no surprise to see the on-loan Juventus man being linked with a host of top clubs.

### The Latest: Liverpool linked with exciting move

According to [*Calciomercato*](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/bayern-e-liverpool-bussano-la-juve-risponde-chiesa-non-si-vende--14587), Liverpool and Bayern Munich have both ‘knocked on the door’ regarding a summer move for the wide man, whose current permanent club is Fiorentina.

The [€100m-rated](https://twitter.com/cfbayern/status/1415245815036227584) (£85m) Italian is expected to stay at Juventus and eventually sign permanently, however, with the Serie A giants not entertaining the idea of him moving elsewhere.

### The Verdict: Sign him up, Jurgen

Chiesa looks like a wonderful young player with a huge amount of potential – Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann has [hailed](https://www.bavarianfootballworks.com/2021/7/11/22571820/bayern-munich-coach-julian-nagelsmann-fan-federico-chiesa-juventus-euro-2020-transfer-fee) him as ‘fantastic’ –  so the idea of Liverpool signing him is an exciting one.

He could be a perfect long-term replacement for the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, [scoring and assisting eight times apiece](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/322971/Show/Federico-Chiesa) in the league last season and proving to be dangerous on either foot.

That being said, the likelihood is that Juventus will take up the offer to sign Chiesa on a permanent deal, so this may be a dream rather than a reality from a Reds perspective, with Fabrizio Romano claiming the winger is ‘[untouchable](https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1415269831767699456)‘.
