# Liverpool reportedly tracking £22.5m-rated attacker as Klopp considers transfer options

***Liverpool have had a quiet summer, and the Reds in the Transfer Tavern are concerned about the future of Philippe Coutinho…***

The Brazilian has been [touted](https://espndeportes.espn.com/futbol/espana/nota/_/id/3446400/con-coutinho-regresa-la-magia-brasilena-al-barcelona) with an exit, and that would leave Jurgen Klopp in a real spot of bother. After all, the Brazilian has been crucial for the Reds since he moved to the club.

Clearly, though, an exit is a possibility, and so Jurgen Klopp must prepare in case it happens. It appears as though he is doing just that, with [Tutto Mercato Web reporting](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/esclusiva-tmw-coutinho-e-dembela-al-baraa-liverpool-e-dortmund-su-williams-1003538) that the Reds are tracking attacker Inaki Williams as a potential replacement for Coutinho this summer.

Williams currently plays as an attacker for Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, where he has impressed in recent years. He is [rated](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/inaki-williams/profil/spieler/255508) at £22.5m by Transfer Markt, which is a testament to his quality in the final third.

He bagged 5 goals and 6 assists last season, proving his quality, and at 23-years-old, his best years are certainly still ahead of him.

Any move, though, is far easier said than done.

***Landlord’s Verdict***

It would be a massive disappointment if Liverpool were to sell Coutinho, but Klopp cannot risk losing him without a replacement.

Williams would be a decent option, though it must be noted that he is far more comfortable on the flanks than he is in the middle, which may suggest that he isn’t a like-for-like replacement for Coutinho.

Even so, his quality is evident, and so he would provide what Klopp is looking for in terms of goals and assists.
