**The Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been delighted by reports from the Liverpool Echo, as the club ward off further interest from Rangers in another player.**

With the Gers having already landed Jordan Rossiter from the Reds, they were [linked](https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/competitions/premiership/rumour-mill-danny-ings-james-vaughan-to-rangers-celtic-eye-gregory-but-miss-out-on-tshibola-aberdeen-hijack-gers-target-1-4159003) with an audacious move for forward Danny Ings.

The England international, who ultimately cost the Merseyside giants £8m after a tribunal decided on the fee, saw his maiden Anfield campaign blighted by a serious ligament injury during his first training session with Jurgen Klopp.

Despite links with a move to Ibrox, it is [understood](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-transfer-news-ings-11494761) that the German is keen on working with the former Burnley and Bournemouth, with his high energy brand of football a natural fit for the style imposed by the charismatic German.

He made his comeback on the final day of the season against West Bromwich Albion and will [reportedly](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-transfer-news-ings-11494761) be a major part of the frontline next term, battling for places with the likes of Divock Origi and Daniel Sturridge.

**Can Ings force his way back into the England reckoning?**
