**After a formidable performance against England at Euro 2016, the Liverpool fans in the Transfer Tavern have been wondering where that Martin Skrtel has been over the past few months.**

The Anfield stalwart has lost his place in the starting lineup under Jurgen Klopp and has been linked with moves to [Turkey](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1291808/liverpool-set-to-offload-martin-skrtel-in-5-5m-fenerbahce-transfer-after-defender-fell-out-of-favour-with-jurgen-klopp/) in recent months.

However, according to [the Sun](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1319178/liverpool-ace-martin-skrtel-could-join-inter-milan-as-agent-reveals-that-defenders-future-will-be-decided-in-next-few-days/), the imposing central defender could be set for a shock move to Italian giants Inter Milan this summer instead.

After a number of seasons struggling in mid-table, the *Nerazzurri* have been the subject of a colossal Chinese takeover, affording manager Roberto Mancini cash to splash at the San Siro.

Having signed Joel Matip for his Reds revolution already, Klopp is [believed](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1319178/liverpool-ace-martin-skrtel-could-join-inter-milan-as-agent-reveals-that-defenders-future-will-be-decided-in-next-few-days/) to be asking for around [£6m](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1319178/liverpool-ace-martin-skrtel-could-join-inter-milan-as-agent-reveals-that-defenders-future-will-be-decided-in-next-few-days/) for the 31-year old former Zenit St. Petersburg man.

Now, his agent has confirmed that there is a chance his client could make a move to Serie A over the course of the summer.

“We’ll know something more soon, in the next few days I think”, Karol Csonto [told](https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/1319178/liverpool-ace-martin-skrtel-could-join-inter-milan-as-agent-reveals-that-defenders-future-will-be-decided-in-next-few-days/) *FCInterNews.*

“There are several great teams interested in the player, including Inter which is a distinct possibility. Martin is a great player.

“Roberto Mancini? We’re talking about a great coach, but as I said, we have to wait. Not much longer, but we have to wait.”

**Should Skrtel be kept on as a squad option next season?**
