# Liverpool: These fans are very happy with the Reds’ summer transfer dealings

**In the wake of [winning the Champions League](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/48368443) last season, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp decided to only make cosmetic changes to his squad for the 2019/20 campaign.**

Liverpool-focused Twitter channel [@AnfieldWatch](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1169338786708369408) tweeted a summary of the Reds’ transfer business, with only three players coming in and seven leaving the club permanently for a fee.

The only newcomer with a confirmed transfer fee was Sepp van den Berg, [who signed from Zwolle](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48755456) in Netherlands, with [Harvey Elliott’s signing fee undisclosed](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/358354-liverpool-fc-confirm-signing-of-harvey-elliott). Goalkeeper Adrian [joined on a free transfer](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/359359-liverpool-fc-complete-signing-of-goalkeeper-adrian) while Andy Lonergan [came to the club on a short-term deal](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/360357-andy-lonergan-liverpool-signing-contract-jurgen-klopp).

[Danny Ings](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/48831514), [Simon Mignolet](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/04/simon-mignolet-liverpool-club-brugge), [Ryan Kent](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49552351), [Rafael Camacho](https://www.besoccer.com/new/sporting-lisbon-sign-liverpool-youngster-rafa-camacho-662225), [Ovie Ejaria](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49285742), [Bobby Duncan](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/sep/02/liverpool-accept-fiorentina-offer-bobby-duncan-bullying-claim) and [George Johnston](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/george-johnston-transfer-fee-revealed-18858004) all recouped transfer fees for the Reds with a combined total of around £48m, according to [@Anfield Watch](https://twitter.com/AnfieldWatch/status/1169338786708369408), while the likes of [Harry Wilson](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/49249224), [Ben Woodburn](https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/first-team/358688-ben-woodburn-completes-oxford-loan-switch) and [Marko Grujic](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/07/01/liverpool-secure-2-million-fee-loan-marko-grujic-hertha-berlin/) have been loaned out for the season.

These Liverpool fans on Twitter feel that, despite the comparative lack of incomings, it has been a very good transfer window for the Reds:
