# Liverpool: These fans don’t want Fabinho to play against Aston Villa

**Many Liverpool fans on Twitter have called for Fabinho to be left out of the team for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Aston Villa.**

\[freshpress-poll id=”255940″\]

The Brazil midfielder has received [four yellow cards in the league](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabinho/leistungsdaten/spieler/225693) already this season and, if he picks up another at Villa Park this weekend, he would then be suspended for the league leaders’ game against [closest challengers Manchester City](https://www.premierleague.com/tables) the following week.

As noted by the [Liverpool Echo](https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/liverpool-midfielder-fabinho-walks-disciplinary-17120730), any player who receives five yellow cards before matchday 19 (which [falls on Boxing Day](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/spieltag/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2019/spieltag/19)) will incur a one-game suspension.

The 25-year-old has been an integral presence in Jurgen Klopp’s line-up so far this season, being ever-present in the Champions League and starting all but one Premier League game. \[[via TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabinho/leistungsdaten/spieler/225693)\]

His importance to the team is demonstrated by several statistics from [WhoScored.com](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/26/Show/England-Liverpool) – nobody has won more tackles per game for the Reds than his 2.5, while his 1.3 interceptions per game is bettered by only four players and his 86.8% passing accuracy is the sixth-highest in the squad.

These Liverpool fans on Twitter would rather see him omitted from the line-up against Aston Villa so that he won’t run the risk of suspension for the [Manchester City game on November 10th](https://www.premierleague.com/fixtures?co=1&cl=10):

> No, if he doesn’t play against City we probably won’t win we 100% can’t risk him vs Villa
