# Liverpool: These fans want Kai Havertz at Anfield

**[Independent Liverpool FC platform Anfield Edition](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition) shared a poll on its Twitter channel [@AnfieldEdition](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition/status/1171875492686966790) inviting followers to pick one player they’d like to see at Anfield from a selection of three.**

The poll asked followers to choose between Kai Havertz, Houssem Aouar and Jadon Sancho as the one player they would sign for Liverpool if given the chance to do so.

> Just out of interest, if you could sign one of these players who would it be?

Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Havertz was linked with the Reds last month by German media outlet [Sport 1](https://www.sport1.de/fussball/bundesliga/2019/08/bayer-04-leverkusen-diese-klubs-wollen-kai-havertz) and the 20-year-old has already played [more than 100 times for his club](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kai-havertz/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/309400) and won [five senior caps for Germany](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kai-havertz/nationalmannschaft/spieler/309400/verein_id/3262).

Aouar reportedly caught the eye of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp earlier this year, according to [le10sport.com](https://le10sport.com/football/mercato/exclu-mercato-ol-forcing-de-liverpool-pour-aouar-450234). The 21-year-old Lyon midfielder had turned down a potential move to Anfield in 2016, as per an interview with [Planet Lyon](https://www.planetelyon.com/) \[[via Get French Football News](https://www.getfootballnewsfrance.com/2019/houssem-aouar-reflects-on-rejecting-liverpool-in-2016-lyon-is-the-club-of-my-heart/)\].

Borussia Dortmund winger Sancho was previously targeted by Klopp as a potential Reds signing, as reported by [The Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/02/18/jurgenklopp-admits-liverpool-wanted-sign-jadon-sancho-manchester/), and [scored his first two England goals against Kosovo](https://www.skysports.com/football/england-vs-kosovo/403344) in Euro 2020 qualifying on Tuesday night.

These Liverpool fans on Twitter gave Havertz the nod over Sancho and Aouar:

> Tough choice but for me got to be Kai Havertz I absolutely adore the lad! Such a quality player! Would love him at LFC. Only outscored in the league by Paco and Lewa (I think) One of the quickest in bundesliga last year. Key eye for a pass… I just love him!
