# Liverpool: Transfer news causes mixed reaction from fanbase

**Rumours surrounding winger Jadon Sancho and Liverpool are heating up, but the reaction from the fanbase has not been as jubilant as some might have expected.**

According to [Bild](https://www.bild.de/sport/fussball/borussia-dortmund/startseite-bvb-31074434.bild.html), via [Anfield Edition](https://twitter.com/AnfieldEdition/status/1251564508298035202?s=20), the Reds are keeping an eye on the Englishman as they plan for next season, and hope to fend off competition by offering him a ‘mega salary’. The biggest problem though is the fact that Borussia Dortmund have a massive €130 million price tag on him.

Fellow Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United are also interested in the former Manchester City player, per [The Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1270759/Jadon-Sancho-Man-Utd-Chelsea-Dortmund-offer-contract-end-transfer-interest-news-gossip), who has an impressive 14 goals and 16 assists in 23 games, via [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/profil/spieler/401173), in the Bundesliga this season.

At only the age of 20, with international appearances under his belt as well as top flight experience and Champions League experience, the attacker will be a great addition to any top squad, but whilst some fans are excited by this news, others seem to have been put off by the salary demands.

Here is what fans have said following the reports:

> Liverpool are still interested in signing Jadon Sancho ahead of next season, and are trying to tempt the winger “with a mega salary”.

> We couldn’t afford his transfer fee or his wages, it’s a complete non story. He playing at a level other clubs who operate differently will throw daft money his way, give me Timo and am happy 👍

> Crazy bad idea. Nowhere for him in our side. Who could you leave you? Who could you say has been underperforming and deserves to lose their spot in team or bench? Nobody. ..sometimes it’s like buy a player so rivals dont get him
