# Long-serving forward has no desire to leave Arsenal despite transfer speculation

![walcottmnd](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/walcottmnd-500x327.jpg)Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern are pleased to see their most long-serving player is keen to remain at the club this summer, despite speculation suggesting otherwise.

[*ESPN*](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2888426/theo-walcott-not-seeking-move-from-arsenal-despite-jamie-vardy-bid-source)[state](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2888426/theo-walcott-not-seeking-move-from-arsenal-despite-jamie-vardy-bid-source) Theo Walcott is not seeking an exit from the Emirates Stadium, despite reports linking Arsenal to the signature of 24-goal striker Jamie Vardy and potentially further attacking additions.

Walcott, who celebrated a decade of service to the Gunners earlier this season, has struggled to maintain a spot in the starting squad throughout his time in north London and now, aged 27, he needs to get his career back on-track after missing out on England’s 23-man squad for Euro 2016.

Despite a potential lack of playing time and further competition for places, [Walcott is keen to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2888426/theo-walcott-not-seeking-move-from-arsenal-despite-jamie-vardy-bid-source)– and the pacy forward is not seeking an exit during the current transfer window.

Walcott is likely to revert back to a winger for the forthcoming season, after failing to impress when given the opportunity as an out-and-out striker, whilst Arsenal have assured the player he is still in the plans of Arsene Wenger.
