# Manchester United: Fans rave over Raul Jimenez as reports link Wolves star to Old Trafford

**As the transfer window approaches, Manchester United have once again been linked to some of the world’s best strikers.**

Indeed, the Red Devils have already made the first move by signing [Odion Ighalo](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/man-utd-extend-odion-ighalo-loan-from-shanghai-greenland-shenhua). Man United have reached an agreement with [Shanghai Shenhua](https://www.manutd.com/en/news/detail/man-utd-extend-odion-ighalo-loan-from-shanghai-greenland-shenhua) to extend his contract after he impressed on loan at the club he supported as a boy, registering four goals in eight appearances so far.

Nevertheless, [Ole Gunnar Solskjaer](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-8435079/Raul-Jimenez-admits-hes-relishing-Real-Madrid-Manchester-United-Liverpool.html) is reportedly interested in Wolves forward Raul Jimenez as well, who recently admitted that the recent speculation is “[very cool](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hKdCc6-tE4).”

Ever since he joined Wolverhampton Wanderers for a club record [£30m](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47811338) from Benfica in 2018, Jimenez impressed the crowds at Molineux prior to the nationwide lockdown imposed as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

[\[freshpress-poll id=”305156″\]](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/[freshpress-poll%20id=%22305156%22])

The 29-year-old has scored 13 goals in 29 games in [the Premier League](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108186/Show/Ra%C3%BAl-Jim%C3%A9nez) for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side, taking 3.4 shots per game, averaging 1.4 key passes and completing 1.8 dribbles per game on average (via [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108186/Show/Ra%C3%BAl-Jim%C3%A9nez)).

He has received a higher statistical rating than [Anthony Martial](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/122366/Show/Anthony-Martial) for his performances this season, as per [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/108186/Show/Ra%C3%BAl-Jim%C3%A9nez). However, the Mexican, who plays alongside ex-United striker Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez at international level, is currently valued at £36m according to [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/raul-jimenez/profil/spieler/206040).

As it stands, Solskjaer has other areas he urgently needs to [prioritise](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1274220/Manchester-United-transfer-news-Ole-Gunnar-Solskjaer-Ed-Woodward-Sancho-Grealish), and he may choose to give the Mexican a miss.

Naturally, many United fans gushed over Jimenez’s “quality” comments, with one supporter tweeting that he is “better than Martial”.
