# Major blow for Chelsea with one of world’s most expensive players not keen on summer switch

**Chelsea fans here in the Tavern are hoping to see a managerial change in the summer months, after all but failing to secure Champions League football for next season.**

Indeed, the Blues have looked less than convincing in the current campaign as they put up a poor title defence, and remain on course for Europa League football next season. And, it doesn’t look as if things are getting any better for Antonio Conte’s side, [as according to Don Balon, Ousmane Dembele has rejected an offer from Chelsea and wants a move to Manchester United.](https://www.donbalon.com/noticia/detalle/76460/tres-ofertas-ha-rechazado-dembele-dejar-barca-esta-pensando)

The Frenchman could leave Spanish giants Barcelona in the summer transfer window after failing to break into their side following his £120 million move from Borussia Dortmund.

Indeed, it’s [understood](https://www.donbalon.com/noticia/detalle/76460/tres-ofertas-ha-rechazado-dembele-dejar-barca-esta-pensando) that the attacker has rejected an offer from Chelsea and two other clubs, with [M](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/949538/Barcelona-news-Ousmane-Dembele-Chelsea-Manchester-United-transfers)[anchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/949538/Barcelona-news-Ousmane-Dembele-Chelsea-Manchester-United-transfers) also keen to lure him away from Catalonia in the summer.

Although, much to the dismay of many of our local residents, Ousmane Dembele has [not yet rejected](https://www.donbalon.com/noticia/detalle/76460/tres-ofertas-ha-rechazado-dembele-dejar-barca-esta-pensando) Manchester United’s proposal, and he has always wanted to play his football at Old Trafford.

**Landlord’s Verdict:**

Chelsea will be gutted that the attacker has rejected their offer as he could have made a huge impact at Stamford Bridge, but with no Champions League next season it will be difficult for the Blues to attract major talent. And, with Manchester United in a commanding position to bring the Frenchman to Old Trafford, perhaps Chelsea will finish below the Red Devils again next season.
