**While the Arsenal fans are still dancing in delirious delight over the prospect of signing Jamie Vardy this summer, a few of the more cynical ones have been brought crashing back down to earth.**

Theo Walcott is far from the most popular man in North London these days, with many seeing this summer as the end of his Gunners career, after a largely frustrating decade in North London.

He has been [linked](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/arsenal-transfer-news-west-ham-target-theo-walcott-gunners-prepared-to-sell-jamie-vardy-interest-a3264281.html) with a move to West Ham United after losing his starting place for both club and country, ultimately missing out on Euro 2016.

However, according to [ESPN](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2888426/theo-walcott-not-seeking-move-from-arsenal-despite-jamie-vardy-bid-source), the former Southampton prodigy is ready to stay at the Emirates Stadium this summer DESPITE the strong interest in Vardy.

The 27-year old is [understood](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/2888426/theo-walcott-not-seeking-move-from-arsenal-despite-jamie-vardy-bid-source) to want to stay and fight for his place at the club even as a move for the Leicester City marksman edges ever closer.

With Olivier Giroud also in the squad, Arsene Wenger could soon have quite the selection headache on his hands.

**Would Walcott’s career be best served by leaving Arsenal this summer?**
