# Manchester City: Eric Garcia stance on failed Barcelona move has Sky Blues in full voice

**According to Spanish journalist Roger Torello, via [Man City Xtra on Twitter](https://twitter.com/danielhany2003/status/1313456058187345920?s=21), Manchester City defender [Eric Garcia](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-city-transfer-rumours/eric-garcia-profile/) is outraged over his failed deadline day move to Barcelona.**

Garcia, who was holding out over a transfer back to Camp Nou on Monday, has now explained his thoughts on the club’s rejection of the La Liga giants’ advances.

The Spaniard has [made it clear](https://twitter.com/danielhany2003/status/1313456058187345920?s=21) he wants to leave, telling Pep Guardiola he no longer wishes to play for City. In an attempt to sign the youngster, Ronald Koeman’s side offered £15.4m plus add-ons in a final deadline day attempt ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/12047694/eric-garcia-barcelona-have-bid-for-manchester-city-defender-rejected)).

Rejecting their bid, City [demanded closer to £20m](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/12047694/eric-garcia-barcelona-have-bid-for-manchester-city-defender-rejected) and would not budge, resulting in a potential deal collapsing. The 19-year-old won’t be able to leave until January and he is reportedly less than happy with Txiki Begiristain’s decision.

As a result, some Sky Blues fans are joyous over his discontent and have been in full voice on Twitter – you can find some of the best comments below.

> He had a value, they didnt meet it. Tough luck, you dont just let him leave for peanuts because he wants to. He should be upset with Barcelona for not paying what he’s worth.
