# Manchester City: Fans excited by transfer links with Ferran Torres

**A number of Manchester City fans have reacted excitedly to transfer reports linking them with a potential summer move for Ferran Torres.**

Spanish media outlet [Super Deporte](https://www.superdeporte.es/valencia/2020/05/31/guardijkjkjkj/457378.html) reported that the Valencia winger is top of Pep Guardiola’s shortlist in terms of transfer targets for that position, ahead of Kingsley Coman, Adama Traore and Leon Bailey, amid [continuing speculation](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/bayern-munich-leroy-sane-transfer-man-city-a4441391.html) surrounding Leroy Sane’s future. The news was later shared on Twitter by [@City\_Xtra](https://twitter.com/City_Xtra/status/1267177270508224517).

The 20-year-old has made 35 appearances for Valencia this season, with six goals and seven assists to his name, contributing two of each in their Champions League campaign. In a similar vein to [Bernardo Silva](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/bernardo-silva/leistungsdaten/spieler/241641), he is primarily a right winger but can also be deployed on the left flank, from where he has contributed a few goals. \[via [TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ferran-torres/leistungsdaten/spieler/398184)\]

The youngster also starred for Spain in their European Under-19 Championship triumph last year, scoring both goals in their victory over Portugal in the final while also netting in the semi-finals against France. \[via [Marca](https://www.marca.com/en/football/spanish-football/2019/07/28/5d3d78c122601d26238b456d.html)\]

> Think he’s the best option o ur of those four, he had more to his game than just raw pace or a good shot, more of a Bernardo/mahrez player who is a good dribbler but also has good pace

> this is good tbf he’s a nice middle ground between the pace focused sane and the control/dribbling focused bernardo or mahrez
