# Manchester City: Fans loved footage of QPR supporters celebrating Sergio Aguero goal

**Plenty of Manchester City fans enjoyed “[amazing](https://twitter.com/Tamsin1975/status/1260598901264039938?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)” new footage that emerged from the day on which they [won their first Premier League title](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/17973148) back in 2012.**

Eight years ago yesterday, Sergio Aguero’s stoppage time winner capped a dramatic 3-2 win at home to QPR and ensured that Roberto Mancini’s side would win their first league title in 44 years, pipping neighbours Manchester United to the glory. \[via [BBC](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/17973148)\]

It wasn’t just the home fans at the Etihad Stadium who savoured that defining moment, though – [@City\_Chief](https://twitter.com/City_Chief/status/1260598609663397888) on Twitter posted footage of travelling QPR supporters revelling in the goal for their own reasons.

The R’s went into the final day of the 2011/12 season with their Premier League future on the line but, despite losing in the dying minutes, [Bolton’s failure to beat Stoke](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/17973085) and the slightly earlier finish of that game meant that the [Londoners were guaranteed safety](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/17973148) by the time Aguero scored, enabling their fans to join City’s ecstatic supporters in celebrating that 94th-minute goal.
