# Manchester City: Fans make Leroy Sane plea in response to club’s training video

**Plenty of Manchester City fans sent a clear message to the club in response to an online video featuring Leroy Sane in training.**

The club’s official Twitter account [@ManCity](https://twitter.com/ManCity/status/1267807169996611587) posted footage of the 24-year-old on the training ground ahead of the [resumption of the Premier League](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11661/11996463/premier-league-restart-fixtures-kick-off-times-tv-schedule-and-dates) in two weeks’ time and, judging by the 12-second clip, his finishing instincts remain as sharp as ever.

The video shows Sane dribbling past a couple of obstacles in a training drill before hammering the ball into the roof of the net past a stranded goalkeeper. The sight of him scoring was a familiar one ([39 goals](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leroy-sane/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/192565/verein/281) for the club) prior to a long-term [cruciate ligament injury](https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/aug/08/manchester-city-leroy-sane-facing-injury-lay-off-knee-surgery) which has kept him out for the [entirety of the 2019/20 Premier League so far](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leroy-sane/leistungsdaten/spieler/192565).

The German, whose contract at the Etihad Stadium [expires next year](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leroy-sane/profil/spieler/192565), is at the centre of a protracted transfer saga which has seen Bayern Munich make unsubtle advances for him (as per Bayern 1, via [Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/sane-bayern-transfer-man-city-18337844)) in their attempts to lure the winger back to the Bundesliga (as per [Evening Standard](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/bayern-munich-leroy-sane-transfer-man-city-a4441391.html)).

Lots of Manchester City fans [begged for him to stay](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-city-transfer-rumours/man-city-fans-beg-leroy-sane-stay-instagram-bayern-transfer-rumours/) in response to an [Instagram post](https://www.instagram.com/p/CA5_9CUjJBE/) he published on Monday and there were plenty repeating that message in reply to the club’s training ground tweet:
