# Manchester City: Fans react to club’s striker search after Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus injury setbacks

**According to an update by journalist Duncan Castles on the [Transfer Window podcast](https://t.co/oP4L6i4Z09?amp=1), Manchester City are seeking a new forward option before deadline day tomorrow following injuries to both Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus, prompting many Sky Blues fans to revel in the [update on Twitter.](https://twitter.com/mancitymj14/status/1312098891332874240?s=21)**

Aguero, who has been out of action since late June, picking up a knee injury during City’s resounding [5-0 home win over Burnley](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/51779561), cannot even rely on his South American counterpart and backup option Jesus.

The Brazilian will also be [sidelined over the next few games](https://www.premierinjuries.com/injury-table.php) due to muscle problems sustained at Wolves, leaving the Sky Blues bereft of any natural striking options bar promising youngster Liam Delap.
