# Manchester City: Fans react to transfer reports linking club with Kingsley Coman

**A number of Manchester City fans have been reacting to transfer reports linking them with a possible move for Kingsley Coman, with many of the Etihad Stadium faithful not keen on such a move.**

[Sky Germany](https://sport.sky.de/fussball/artikel/transfer-news-fc-bayern-drei-klubs-an-kingsley-coman-interessiert/11986681/34236) reported \[via [Daily Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1280930/Man-City-news-Kingsley-Coman-transfer-Bayern-Munich-Pep-Guardiola-Real-Madrid-Barcelona)\] that the Bayern Munich winger is a summer transfer target for Pep Guardiola, [under whom he previously worked](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/leistungsdatentrainer/spieler/243714/plus/0/saison/2015/verein/27/trainer_id/5672) at the Allianz Arena, with Barcelona and Real Madrid also vying for the France international. The transfer update was shared on Twitter by [@City\_Xtra](https://twitter.com/City_Xtra/status/1259945235779633159).

> Real Madrid, Barcelona and [#ManCity](https://twitter.com/hashtag/ManCity?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) are interested in Kingsley Coman.
>
> Coman is following the situation with Leroy Sané & sees his best position as a left winger – where Sané wants to play. Bayern don't want to sell, but Coman would leave if advised.

Coman has won [four Bundesliga titles](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/erfolge/spieler/243714) with Bayern and made [147 appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/243714/verein/27) for the club, [scoring 30 times](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/243714/verein/27). This season he has a return of [five goals and five assists from 24 matches](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/leistungsdaten/spieler/243714). However, the 23-year-old has an unenviable track record of injuries in recent years, including two long-term ligament tears in 2018 (as per [TransferMarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kingsley-coman/verletzungen/spieler/243714)).

Manchester City are no strangers to severe injury problems in recent times, with Leroy Sane [out since August](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/leroy-sane/leistungsdaten/spieler/192565) following a [cruciate ligament rupture](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/leroy-sane-injury-update-man-city-news-knee-ligament-acl-how-long-recovery-time-bayern-munich-a9047391.html), Aymeric Laporte [missing for most of this season](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aymeric-laporte/verletzungen/spieler/176553) and Benjamin Mendy [missing seven months in 2017/18](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-city-premier-league-benjamin-mendy-injury-return-fabian-delph-form-a8319171.html) from a knee ligament injury.

These City fans on Twitter baulked at Coman’s injury record and urged the club to pass on the winger:

> Great player but unfortunately man is made of glass and we don’t want any injury prone.

***Man City fans, do you think Coman would be a good addition at the Etihad Stadium or is he simply too injury-prone to justify purchasing? Have your say by commenting below!***
