With finances already healthy, especially given City’s share of the £5bn TV revenue for the Premier League, [City are eying hefty moves for Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola and Barcelona’s Ballon D’Or favourite Lionel Messi.](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-citys-pep-guardiola-lionel-6935128)

The cash injection will only increase their chances of being able to finance a move for the high-profile pairing but there’s still a lot of work to be done, as Bayern want Guardiola to pen a new deal and Barcelona do not want to lose Messi.
