# Man City: Fans want to sign Kimmich

**Manchester City fans want to sign Joshua** **Kimmich after it was suggested the Citizens could make a move for the Germany international.**

City fans were recently shocked by the news that Fernandinho had been placed on the club’s list of released players following the end of the Premier League season ([premierleague.com](https://www.premierleague.com/news/2163104)). While that does not mean he will not be given a new contract, at 36 years of age he does not have too long left at the top.

As such, the Citizens are said to be looking at replacements for the Brazilian. [As per The Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/man-city-fernandinho-replacements-ndidi-20758181), Wilfred Ndidi, Eduardo Camavinga and Kimmich have been pinpointed as potential replacements. The mention of £81m-valued Kimmich ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/joshua-kimmich/marktwertverlauf/spieler/161056)), in particular, has delighted the City supporters.
