# Man City: Fans fume at Aymeric Laporte exit hint

**A number of Manchester City fans don’t want Aymeric Laporte to leave the club after being hinted with a possible move away from the Citizens.**

The season has now come to an end, and it has been a mixed one for City. While they won the Premier League and the Carabao Cup, they lost 1-0 in the Champions League final to Chelsea on Saturday as they missed out on the ultimate prize in European club football.

As such, there could be a shake-up at the Etihad Stadium this summer as Pep Guardiola and his squad get ready for the next season. That could well mean some departures, and according to [Goal.com](https://www.goal.com/en-ie/news/kane-in-sterling-out-how-man-city-and-guardiola-can-move-on/1qvcmnmy7lmpd1o0li2rdf3m9l) journalist Jonathan Smith, Laporte, Bernard Mendy and Raheem Sterling could all potentially depart.

It is the potential exit of the centre-back which seems to have particularly worried numerous City supporters. The 27-year-old won more headers per game ([2.6](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/167/Show/England-Manchester-City)) than anyone else in Guardiola’s squad during the season and was badly missed during the 2019/20 campaign, [sidelined for several months](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/aymeric-laporte/verletzungen/spieler/176553) through injury as City [lagged well behind Liverpool](https://www.skysports.com/premier-league-table/2019) in the Premier League that term.
