# Man City: ESPN journalist shares big de Jong update

**Reliable journalist Rob Dawson of ESPN has now shared a big [Manchester City](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-city-news/) transfer update involving Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong.**

However, despite Barca handing City a chance to sign de Jong, the La Liga giants have only received positive responses from Man United and Paris-Saint Germain.

As the Netherlands international gets placed on the table, we believe City sporting director Txiki Begiristain and Guardiola should, at the very least, consider a move carefully.
