# Man United boss Mourinho in shock talks with controversial Liverpool flop

**For the punters in the Transfer Tavern, it seems like simply no one can save Mario Balotelli.**

Though the Liverpool and Manchester City supporting locals tend to have vastly different opinions of the enigmatic Italian forward, one thing is agreed upon, the 26-year old has largely wasted his talent.

Clearly not in Jurgen Klopp’s plans at Anfield, the former Inter and AC Milan striker is left in an odd state of transfer limbo.

However, the *Azzurri* ace still has friends in high places it seems.

According to *[Calciomercato](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/liverpool-balotelli-senza-squadra-chiede-aiuto-a-mourinho-578321),* Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has MET with the Italy star over the past few days.

While it’s nigh on impossible to imagine that the self-proclaimed ‘Special One’ is considering bringing his former attacker to Old Trafford, he is [thought](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/liverpool-balotelli-senza-squadra-chiede-aiuto-a-mourinho-578321) to have given him advice.

At a crossroads in his career, the Portuguese is [said](https://www.calciomercato.com/news/liverpool-balotelli-senza-squadra-chiede-aiuto-a-mourinho-578321) to have told Balotelli to change his attitude and lower his wage demands as he looks to leave Merseyside.

**What is the best move for Balotelli? Has he completely lost it? Let us know below…**
