# Man United, Chelsea and Spurs chasing 22-year-old Everton star

**After his dragging at half-time against Sunderland last night, the Everton fans in the Transfer Tavern have been discussing the future of Ross Barkley.**

An academy graduate, the 22-year-old is the darling of Goodison Park, though his progress has seemingly stalled in recent months.

Despite a good showing at the start of this season, he was dropped from the England squad by Sam Allardyce and subbed at the interval last night.

So, reports from [Squawka](https://www.squawka.com/news/ross-barkley-in-no-rush-to-accept-100k-a-week-everton-offer-as-tottenham-and-manchester-united-keep-tabs/770032) claiming he was in no rush to sign a new deal has shocked the Toffees in the Tavern.

While the Merseyside outfit are [said](https://www.squawka.com/news/ross-barkley-in-no-rush-to-accept-100k-a-week-everton-offer-as-tottenham-and-manchester-united-keep-tabs/770032) to have offered him a massive [£100k](https://www.squawka.com/news/ross-barkley-in-no-rush-to-accept-100k-a-week-everton-offer-as-tottenham-and-manchester-united-keep-tabs/770032) a week deal, the midfielder is [believed](https://www.squawka.com/news/ross-barkley-in-no-rush-to-accept-100k-a-week-everton-offer-as-tottenham-and-manchester-united-keep-tabs/770032) to be assessing his options.

Under contract until 2018, the Merseyside outfit are [believed](https://www.squawka.com/news/ross-barkley-in-no-rush-to-accept-100k-a-week-everton-offer-as-tottenham-and-manchester-united-keep-tabs/770032) to be desperate to tie him down to a new long-term deal with the club.

Tottenham are [understood](https://www.squawka.com/news/ross-barkley-in-no-rush-to-accept-100k-a-week-everton-offer-as-tottenham-and-manchester-united-keep-tabs/770032) to have shown an interest in the England international, with keen eyes also [thought](https://www.squawka.com/news/ross-barkley-in-no-rush-to-accept-100k-a-week-everton-offer-as-tottenham-and-manchester-united-keep-tabs/770032) to have from Chelsea, Manchester United AND Manchester City.

More performances like his one against the Black Cats won’t do him much good, though the Everton fans in this evening are worried nonetheless.
