# Man United ‘convinced’ top star will play for Mourinho next season

**There’s already been so many rumours and reports for the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern, despite the fact the summer window has barely even kicked off just yet.**

Indeed, the Red Devils are continually linked with moves for all sorts of top players, though reports from [ESPN](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/3136596/david-de-gea-gave-manchester-united-no-sign-he-plans-summer-transfer-sources) actually indicate they could be keeping one.

David De Gea has [reportedly](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/3136596/david-de-gea-gave-manchester-united-no-sign-he-plans-summer-transfer-sources) given no indication he will seek a move to Real Madrid over the course of the summer and the Red Devils are [understood](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/3136596/david-de-gea-gave-manchester-united-no-sign-he-plans-summer-transfer-sources) to be confident in their chances of retaining his services.

The Spaniard has [long been linked](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/808014/David-De-Gea-Real-Madrid-Manchester-United-Premier-League-La-Liga-Transfer-News-Gossip) with a move to the Spanish capital – despite a failed move in 2015 – and many of our punters feared his potential exit. However, Jose Mourinho is [said](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/3136596/david-de-gea-gave-manchester-united-no-sign-he-plans-summer-transfer-sources) to be confident he’ll return to Manchester for pre-season, a massive boost to all those involved at the Theatre of Dreams.

United are [thought](https://www.espnfc.co.uk/story/3136596/david-de-gea-gave-manchester-united-no-sign-he-plans-summer-transfer-sources) to be ‘convinced’ they can reject any moves *Los Blancos* make, much to the delight of our resident Red Devils.

**Thoughts?**
