# Man United fans likely to absolutely love latest big transfer news

**After a relatively disappointing Premier League campaign, the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern really are very excited for a huge summer of activity.**

Naturally, the resident Red Devils have seen their club linked with huge names already, though one of the latest transfer reports from [Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/10900116/man-utd-snub-60m-real-madrid-david-de-gea-bid) have centred around a star already plying his trade at Old Trafford.

United have [reportedly](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/10900116/man-utd-snub-60m-real-madrid-david-de-gea-bid) snubbed a [£60m](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/10900116/man-utd-snub-60m-real-madrid-david-de-gea-bid) bid from Real Madrid for show-stopping-shot-stopper David De Gea, despite it being a world record fee for a ‘keeper. The Spaniard – one of the best in the world – has long been linked with a move to the Spanish capital, ever since a failed move in 2015.

*Los Blancos* are [said](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/10900116/man-utd-snub-60m-real-madrid-david-de-gea-bid) to have submitted an offer, though those at Old Trafford are believed to have rejected it out of hand. That’s gone down a storm amongst our drinkers, who believe keeping the 26-year-old in Manchester is key to their chances of competing next summer.

**Thoughts?**
