# Manchester United: Fans react as Dortmund speak out on Jadon Sancho transfer

**It looks like the possible transfer between Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United for Jadon Sancho could be reaching an endpoint that does not have a happy ending for the Red Devils.**

[The Times](https://www.thetimes.co.uk/) have reported (via [@utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1305544879628603392?s=20) on Twitter) that sources at Borussia Dortmund reiterated that Sancho will not be allowed to leave. This is because the Bundesliga side insist that United failed to meet the €120m (£110.62m) asking price for Sancho before the deadline of August 10.

There is no doubting the quality of the England international as he has made 99 appearances for the Bundesliga side, registering 77 goal contributions as he has scored 34 times and supplied 43 assists, per [Transfermarkt.](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jadon-sancho/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/401173) However, the price tag is enormous and, even for a player of Sancho’s ability, may seem like a huge gamble.

For now it seems like the deal is over, although the transfer window doesn’t shut until [October 5](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/blog-transfer-talk/story/4048919/when-does-the-transfer-window-open-in-2020-premier-leagueserie-ala-ligabundesligaligue-1#:~:text=The%20transfer%20window%20opened%20the,squad%20deadline%20the%20following%20day.), and you never know whether a player could still move until it officially shuts.

Here is what these United fans said following the update on the Sancho saga:

> Let’s move on in present environment Sancho is too expensive go for a cut price Bale and two FBs and a Centre half all for less than we would have paid for Sancho.

> Because the transfer window ends on August 10 abi? BVB must be one annoying set of people. Sancho needs to hand in that transfer request now. That’s what they want. So they can say he pushed to leave.
