# Manchester United: Fans welcome transfer rumours linking Andreas Pereira with Lazio move

**Plenty of Manchester United fans have welcomed transfer reports linking Andreas Pereira with a possible move to Lazio.**

According to [Sky Sport Italy](https://sport.sky.it/calciomercato/2020/09/28/calciomercato-lazio-pereira-manchester-united-news), and as tweeted by [@utdreport](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1310497475866906629), the Serie A side are weighing up a move for the 24-year-old in an initial loan deal with an option to buy for €15m (£13.61m). However, there is a ‘distance’ between Lazio’s reported offer and the player’s demands, while the Biancocelesti would also need to sell Felipe Caicedo in order to fund such a move.

Brazil midfielder Pereira has made [75 senior appearances](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/andreas-pereira/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/203394/verein/985) for United but has [struggled to hold down a regular first team place](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/243254/History/Andreas-Pereira) under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, while he [hasn’t even been included among the substitutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-united/leistungsdaten/verein/985) for any of their games so far this season. Also, over the summer, the 24-year-old was [involved in an online spat](https://metro.co.uk/2020/07/07/andreas-pereira-slams-manchester-united-fan-twitter-abuse-12954130/) with some supporters who had been critical of his ability.

These Red Devils supporters on Twitter hope that Lazio will clinch a deal for Pereira, with one calling for the [much-maligned](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/manchester-united-transfer-rumours/manchester-united-fans-blast-phil-jones-after-red-devils-accept-he-is-unreliable-and-will-be-allowed-to-leave/) and [peripheral](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/phil-jones/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/117996) Phil Jones to also be offloaded to the Italian club:

> Great business, It’s what we have all been waiting for , the fees for Andreas and of Chris to Inter or Roma allow further investment in the squad . Joshua and Alex are expected . Other outgoings proving difficult at this time , but cannot be ruled out .
