# Man United man reportedly rejects exit though does have interesting preference

**While the performances of Nemanja Matic and Romelu Lukaku thrilled the Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern, there were a few others to have impressed.**

Indeed, super sub Anthony Martial notched after coming on against West Ham United, much to the delight of our resident Red Devils. A hugely popular figure in our bar, the 21-year-old struggled to impose himself under Jose Mourinho last term, after thrilling upon his arrival on these shores.

> Martial ha per ora scartato l'opzione Inter. Preferisce eventualmente rimanere in Premier

The Frenchman has been [linked](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/manchester-united-transfer-news-ivan-perisic-personal-terms-50m-35m-willian-chelsea-anthony-martial-a7761851.html) with a move to Inter Milan this summer as part of a deal to bring Ivan Perisic to Old Trafford, though comments from Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri on Twitter have gone down well.

He’s [revealed](https://twitter.com/tancredipalmeri/status/897077300273057792) the former Lyon and Monaco youngster has SNUBBED a potential move to the San Siro, [reportedly](https://twitter.com/tancredipalmeri/status/897077300273057792) aiming to stay in the Premier League.

While that usually would hint at remaining with United, Martial has recently been [touted](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/transfers/tottenham-transfer-anthony-martial-rejected-manchester-united-news-live-a7890356.html) as a potential target for Tottenham Hotspur, who may be able to offer him more in the way of first-team football.

Palmeri doesn’t say anything about a move to Spurs mind, though some of our more cynical United-mad punters are scared about it.

**Landlord’s Verdict:**

As he proved by coming off the bench, United would be stupid to allow Martial an exit. Battling on so many fronts this season, the 21-year-old gives Mourinho so much strength in depth as both a winger and a striker, so giving him to Tottenham would be a nightmare.

Must be kept at the Theatre of Dreams.

**Thoughts?**
