[Italian publication *ITA Sport* *Press* have revealed](https://www.itasportpress.it/calciomercato/inter-insidia-united-per-banega/?refresh_ce-cp) Manchester United are ready to offer Sevilla defender Ever Banega wages of £3.5m-a-year to convince the Argentine international to swap Andalusia for the North West of England.

27-year-old midfielder Banega has been identified as a top-target for Manchester United, who are looking to invest significantly in a squad overhaul this summer to fight back from another disappointing campaign.

United will face stiff competition for Ever Banega, with [the report stating Inter Milan are also keen](https://www.itasportpress.it/calciomercato/inter-insidia-united-per-banega/?refresh_ce-cp) on his services, but the wages offered by the Premier League giants are significantly higher than that of their Serie A counterparts.

Banega first emerged as a target for Manchester United in January but a move never materialised.

Our landlord isn’t taking these reports at face value though, as he believes no deal will be approved until United have their next long-term manager in place.
