# Man United send scouts to watch £95m-rated star ahead of potential major move

![Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/Pierre-Emerick-Aubameyang-500x344.jpg)Our resident Manchester United fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are extremely interested at the news filtering in from the *Daily Mail* via [Metro](https://metro.co.uk/2016/04/05/manchester-united-scouts-watch-95m-rated-dortmund-target-pierre-emerick-aubameyang-ahead-of-potential-transfer-5797132/?) – with the media outlet suggesting that United have sent scouts to watch Borussia Dortmund hitman Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, ahead of a potential major move in the summer.

The gifted 26-year-old forward[is rated by Dortmund at £95 million](https://metro.co.uk/2016/03/30/dortmund-will-listen-to-95m-offers-for-pierre-emerick-aubameyang-says-clubs-sporting-director-5784715/), a fee which has scared the majority of the United fans here in the Tavern, with them all agreeing that is a simply ludicrous amount of money to fork out for one player!

The Gabon star has been in fantastic form for the Bundesliga giants this season, and has been a pivotal part of the club’s push for the top in the German top-flight, and their impressive run in the Europa League.

The majority of United fans here in the Tavern admit a new striker needs to be the priority in the summer, because the club can’t rely on young Marcus Rashford to consistently score the goals for the club.
