# Manchester United: Fans react as Red Devils are linked with Atalanta winger Amad Traore

**Manchester United have a big season ahead of them as they are looking to battle for the Premier League, the Champions League and two domestic trophies.**

They will want to bolster their squad and, according to [Manchester Evening News](https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/) and as tweeted by [@utdreport,](https://twitter.com/utdreport/status/1306190252919357440?s=20) the Red Devils are exploring the possibility of signing Atalanta right-winger Amad Traore, who is not seen as an alternative to Jadon Sancho, and United have contacted the Serie A outfit.

The 18-year-old looks to have a lot of potential as he has managed 93 appearances in the youth ranks at the Bergamo-based club, scoring 37 goals and picking up 28 assists, per [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/amad-traore/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/536835). He has also made three appearances for the senior side and scored one goal.

That he is not seen as a Sancho alternative is good news, but it still is worrying some fans of the club and understandably so as he is a player in the same position as the Dortmund winger. Even though he is not deemed as an alternative to the 20-year-old, it is worth wondering how many wingers United feel that they need, especially if they still want Sancho.

Here is a portion of the feedback from Man United fans in response to the transfer links with Traore:

> He’s a slick dribbler, got an eye for a pass and loves shooting from range. A great prospect but they can’t go from Sancho to him, cmon
